Alfonso Orol, Chief Executive Officer
Alfonso Orol holds a MSc degree in Civil Engineering from the Universidad Politecnica (Madrid, Spain) and an MBA degree from IESE, University of Navarra (Spain). Alfonso started his professional career with an international infrastructure company working on a number of civil construction projects in Spain. Later he joined Cintra in 2005 and has been involved in the development and management of infrastructure projects in Europe and North America. In 2015 he joined SH 130 Concession Company, LLC in Buda, TX as the Chief Executive Officer. He has substantial experience in all aspects of toll highway concessions, including construction, operations, legal and finance and administration.
Paul Harris, Chief Financial Officer
Paul Harris holds a degree in Accounting from University of Wales and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England & Wales. He has over 20 years’ experience in both public accounting practices and commercial organizations and for the 12 years prior to joining SH 130 CC he was CFO for North America for a software and services company listed on the London Stock Exchange. Paul joined SH 130 Concession Company, LLC in August 2013 and is responsible for the financial department.
Guy Russell, Chief Operations Officer
Guy Russell has been with SH 130 Concession Co. since 2010, and has helped guide the company’s engineering and technology operations as Project Engineering Manager, Field Systems Manager, and currently as Chief Operations Officer. He is an expert in the Raytheon tolling system, and regularly advises other concessions on toll technology and traffic management. Guy has over 20 years of experience in information technology, intelligent transportation systems, and project management. Prior to joining SH 130 Concession Co., he was Director of Operations at a national technical field service company.
Steven Thoreson, General Counsel
Steve Thoreson is a licensed Texas attorney with over 14 years experience in the Real Estate and ROW industry serving property owners and government agencies. After graduating from Hamline University School of Law, in St. Paul, Minnesota, he went into private practice representing property owners and government agencies in right of way related matters, including relocation claims and eminent domain actions. In 2001 he moved to Arizona where he managed relocation projects, including the Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport Expansion and Valley Metro Light Rail. After a short time managing the Uptown Corridor Acquisition and Relation Program for the Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County, Texas (Metro) he came to SH 130 Concession Company, LLC as Right of Way Manager.
Sherry Pifer, Sr. Business Development and Corporate Affairs Mgr
Sherry hold a BS degree in Marketing Logistics from Central Michigan University as well as a MBA from the University of Phoenix. Over the last 9 years, Sherry has worked in the transportation industry here in Texas. Four years prior to joining SH 130 Concession Company, she worked in operations and business development for a freight brokerage company based in Round Rock, TX. Sherry joined SH 130 in June of 2012 just before the toll road opened. Throughout her time at SH 130, she has been responsible for business development and community involvement. In her position with SH 130 she works closely with economic development groups, community members and business professionals who work or travel along the corridor.
